Jonathan Potts named CEO of Tourism Saskatchewan

Jonathan has more than 25 years of experience in the tourism industry. He joined Tourism Saskatchewan in 2006 as Director of Industry Development and transitioned to the role of Director of Marketing in 2010. He was appointed Executive Director of Marketing and Communications in 2014.

Jonathan PottsAfter a fulsome search for a Chief Executive Officer, Tourism Saskatchewan’s Board of Directors is pleased to announce Jonathan Potts as the successful candidate. He will assume his responsibilities on July 1, 2021.
 
Jonathan has more than 25 years of experience in the tourism industry. He joined Tourism Saskatchewan in 2006 as Director of Industry Development and transitioned to the role of Director of Marketing in 2010. He was appointed Executive Director of Marketing and Communications in 2014.
 
His leadership and expertise are recognized by colleagues across Canada. He has contributed to national committees and helped forge solid relationships with Destination Canada and other provincial and national partners. In 2020, he led the development of strategies for the recovery of Saskatchewan’s tourism industry and a re-start of the visitor economy, post COVID-19.
 
Jonathan’s appointment ensures a smooth transition for Tourism Saskatchewan and for the industry at a challenging time for our province. He succeeds Mary Taylor-Ash, who is retiring from the CEO position at the end of June.
 
Tourism Saskatchewan is in very capable hands and strongly positioned to seize opportunities and grow our province’s tourism industry.
