What is SKConnectHER?

Leadership can feel isolating. It doesn't have to.

Running or leading a tourism business comes with unique challenges. From staffing pressures and seasonality to growth decisions and leadership responsibilities, there are times when having a trusted network of peers can make all the difference.

SKConnectHER is a leadership networking initiative created by Tourism Saskatchewan for women who own, lead or manage tourism businesses and attractions across the province.

It's more than a webinar or training program. It's a welcoming space where women in tourism leadership can connect, share experiences, discuss challenges, celebrate successes and learn from one another through honest conversation and peer support.

Who is SKConnectHER For?

SKConnectHER is designed for women who:

  • Own a tourism business or attraction
    Lead a tourism organization
    Hold senior leadership responsibilities
Manage teams and make operational or strategic decisions

To maintain a trusted peer-to-peer environment, SKConnectHER is intended for women working directly within tourism businesses and attractions.

Participation is not currently intended for industry associations, Destination Marketing Organizations (DMOs), municipalities, economic development organizations or government organizations outside of Tourism Saskatchewan.

Why SKConnectHER?

Women play a critical leadership role in Saskatchewan's tourism industry, yet many leaders face similar challenges:

  • Navigating growth and capacity
  • Recruiting and retaining staff
  • Balancing leadership responsibilities
  • Making strategic business decisions
  • Managing the realities of a seasonal industry
  • Building confidence and resilience as a leader

SKConnectHER creates space for meaningful conversations with people who understand those realities firsthand.

If you're looking for encouragement, fresh perspectives, practical advice or simply a room full of women who "get it," SKConnectHER is designed with you in mind.

What Participants Are Saying

"Hearing other participants' specific challenges and as a group suggesting solutions."

"Connecting with other ladies, exchanging ideas and experiences... knowing that I am not alone."

"It was really great to connect with other women entrepreneurs in the tourism industry."
