Course Description
Facilitator Skills is an online course designed to help new and developing facilitators build confidence in leading effective learning experiences for adults. Participants will explore foundational adult learning principles, strategies for creating engagement, communication and presence, approaches for managing group dynamics, and ways to use feedback for continuous improvement. Through practical examples, knowledge checks, and applied activities, learners will develop the skills needed to create inclusive, learner-centred sessions in a variety of settings.
To complete the course, participants will also apply what they have learned through a short, facilitated training session supported by a structured feedback rubric.
Who should take this training: This course is ideal for anyone who facilitates learning on behalf of their workplace, as well as those who want to strengthen or refresh their facilitation skills.

Important information
Most people complete the Facilitator Skills course in four hours or less. You can pause the course at any time, then resume where you left off.
The course includes a 25-question, multiple choice quiz, based on the course material. A mark of 80 percent is required to pass. You have three attempts to complete the exam. There is also a virtual practical facilitation demonstration required.
Your Facilitator Skills certificate is valid for five years.
