Tourism Saskatchewan, through it's Workforce Development department, offers a range of resources to help educators at all levels to help Saskatchewan students learn about tourism and related career opportunities.
The Guide to Tourism Careers in Saskatchewan shows the career opportunities that abound in all five industries that make up the tourism sector of the economy: Accommodation, Food and Beverage Services, Recreation and Entertainment, Transportation, and Travel Services. Learn more.
Explore Tourism Careers is an interactive online presentation that provides teachers, career counsellors and high school students with an overview of the career opportunities available in the tourism sector in Saskatchewan. Learn more.
Tourism Saskatchewan Teachers’ Tool Kits contain fun and informative age-appropriate activities to help students learn more about tourism and tourism careers in Saskatchewan. They are available for teachers in high school, middle school and grade school.
Teachers can also become certified to deliver Tourism Saskatchewan’s popular training courses, Service Best and Service First.
Teachers who want to connect with Workforce Development or with each other to discuss tourism education matters can do it via Facebook as well, via the Teacher Resources and Ideas Exchange Facebook Group.
