This course is built upon the seven principles of adult learning. It complies with national occupational standards developed by Tourism HR Canada. These standards of knowledge and performance define competence that meet industry expectations in an occupation.

Workplace Trainer

This program helps workplace trainers and supervisors understand the principles of adult learning. Learn how to set and achieve training objectives, mentor and coach, and evaluate, reward and recognize performance.

Workplace Trainer is built upon the seven principles of adult learning. It complies with national occupational standards developed by Tourism HR Canada. These standards of knowledge and performance define competence that meet industry expectations in an occupation.

Complete Online or In Person

Workplace Trainer is available as an interactive online course or as a classroom-based, multi-day workshop.

The online course has been specially designed to provide interaction with a trained facilitator and coach, who will guide each participant through the course content and detailed assignments. As you pass each assignment, you complete a module review, then move onto the next lesson. You will have 45 days to complete the course from the day you enrol.

The in-person classroom course is available by special arrangement for groups or organizations.

Who is this course for?

Workplace Trainer is ideally suited for supervisors, managers and other senior staff.

Pre-requisite

There is no pre-requisite for this course.

Exam

Upon successful completion of this course, participants will challenge the national emerit Workplace Trainer exam.
